The Ukraine-Baltics Leadership Forum, dedicated to Ukraine’s Euro-integration issues, as well as political, cultural, and economic relations between Ukraine and the Baltic countries, took place in Kyiv on May 25, 2012. Vasyl Myroshnychenko, partner at CFC Consulting, was a co-organizer of the forum and served as a moderator of the discussion together with Algirdas Kumža, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine from 2006 to 2010.. Overall, more than one hundred representatives from NGOs, think tanks, government agencies, and businesses took part in the forum.
Among the speakers were Pjatras Vaitekunas, Ambassador of the Lithuanian Republic to Ukraine; Vsevolod Chentsov, acting EU department head at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; Asta Andrijauskiene, head of the Ukraine and Moldova Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania; Marius Vismantas, Regional Program Coordinator for Financial and Private Sector at World Bank; Jurate Juodsnukyte, Transport Sector Manager at EU Delegation to Ukraine; Pavlo Gudimov, curator, musician, architect, owner of “Ya Gallery”; Ihor Slisarenko, prominent journalist and international relations commentator, and others.
The forum was organized by the Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine, the LSE Alumni in Ukraine and Baltic countries, Young Democracy Club, and Baltic Vision Group.
