On March 11-13, a hybrid event on the Ethical Use of AI for Journalism took place in Chisinau, Moldova.
During the training, participants had an opportunity to learn an overview of AI concepts and their relevance to journalism, map challenges and opportunities that AI brings in media and journalists, explore the best practices and lessons learned of using AI tools in newsrooms, understand the technological, ethical, and legal aspects that AI brings to media production and consumption, and to have a discussion on the future of AI in the newsroom and its potential impact on the media industry.
CFC Big Ideas team coordinated the event both remotely and on the ground, securing the venue, organizing the online speaker’s session, arranging flights and travel logistics, simultaneous interpretation to 3 languages, designing and printing materials, communicating with participants, evaluating the success of the event, planning, monitoring, and reporting on budget.
