Gennadiy Kurochka, managing partner of CFC Consulting and curator of the Second Floor Art Center gallery, presented the exhibition titled, “My Flag Goes Where I Go.” For this project, children volunteered to paint the walls of the second floor of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration Building, decorating them with patriotic drawings.
The International Children’s Painting Competition involved 86 children from Ukrainian communities in 22 countries around the world. The gallery contains their artwork devoted to Ukraine and the establishment of peace in the country. The children who created this exhibition come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are migrants, others are children of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) soldiers, and others are students of art schools in the Kyiv region. The project was several months in the making: Gennadiy Kurochka commented, “We offered to contact various countries where our Ukrainian communities are located to get drawings [from] these children, and in 2.5 years we finally selected these works.”
