After conducting a series of trainings for journalists on Reporting Nature Crimes in Ghana, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Gabon, 4 outstanding participants were selected by the USAGM to attend 33d Annual Conference of the Society of Environmental Journalists that was held in Pennsylvania, the USA, on April 3-7, 2024.
The Society of Environmental Journalists stands as the sole North American membership association for professional journalists committed to enhancing coverage of environment-related issues.
In addition to the comprehensive program at SEJ conference, the journalists were invited to a number of meetings at Voice of America, the U.S. Office of Environmental Science bureau as well as the U.S. Department of State who was the key sponsor of this global project on combating nature crimes.
CFC Big Ideas were hired to organize international and interstate travel, provide visa support, consult on the SEJ Conference program and register journalists for field trips, panels and topical sessions, arrange SEJ membership, book safe and comfortable hotels both in Pennsylvania and DC, prepare informational package for the trip and make payments for each participant, draft and submit financial reports to USAGM.
