On May 23, 2024, Oles Dmytrenko, Senior GR Manager CFC Big Ideas, took part in the round table “Simplified conditions for small and micro-businesses in Ukraine” initiated by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Economic Affairs in partnership with the Ukrainian Council business and the Economic Expert Platform.
Online platforms and self-employed individuals who interact with them to generate income are some of the directions of the gig economy that urgently needs the creation of clear and favorable legislation. Guided by the practice of the European Union and other countries with highly developed economies, CFC Big Ideas experts joined the development of legislative and technological mechanisms for solving this problem in Ukraine.
According to various estimates, there are between 1 and 2 million self-employed people in Ukraine who work through online platforms. Simplification of doing business for this group can lead to significant growth of the economy and filling of the Ukrainian budget by UAH 10 billion.
CFC Big Ideas continues to cooperate with authorities, businesses, and the expert environment to develop innovative solutions that will contribute to the development of the gig economy in Ukraine and the creation of a favorable environment for conducting small and micro-businesses.
