On February 8-10, 2023, CFC Big Ideas organized a USAGM (United States Agency for Global Media) training on combating illegal logging, mining, wildlife trafficking, and overfishing in Gabon and Ghana.
Among the topics covered throughout the three-day training was Effort to Protect the Environment and End Illegal Activity; Investigating Nature Crimes: Available Laws, Data, and Sources; Tips for writing the pitch, engaging audiences, social media, digital storytelling; Mobile Journalism: Using a cell phone to create and edit stories on the environment.
In the framework of the program, the CFC Big Ideas team is responsible for communication, event logistics, and budget management.
