The CFC Big Ideas team teams up with USAGM and Voice of America to organize Data Journalism training in Benin on June 5-7, 2023.
The data journalism training was designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively collect, analyze, and present data-driven stories. Throughout the training, participants learned to identify and access reliable data sources, employ various data analysis techniques, and utilize data visualization tools to create compelling narratives.
By the end of the training, participants were equipped with the expertise to uncover meaningful insights from data and produce impactful journalism that informs and engages readers.
CFC Big Ideas managed the budget of the workshop, negotiated contracts with contractors and trainers, communicated with participants and speakers, organized all training and travel logistics, and drafted narrative and financial reports.
