CFC Big Ideas, in partnership with the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), organized a three-day training program for media professionals in Uzbekistan from November 13th to 24th. The program, conducted in both Uzbek and English, took place in three key cities: Ferghana, Tashkent, and Bukhara.
The training sessions were designed to equip journalists, editors, and media professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in today’s media landscape. Participants delved into topics such as fact-checking, data collection, verification, and analysis. Additionally, the program covered professional ethics and principles, anti-corruption measures, human and social media intelligence, artificial intelligence, as well as digital and physical security.
By empowering media professionals with these essential skills, CFC Big Ideas and USAGM aimed to elevate the quality of journalism in Uzbekistan and promote responsible and ethical reporting. This initiative aligned with the organizations’ shared commitment to fostering a well-informed and engaged public.
