The festival of Slovenian Films in Ukraine took place between June 25th and 27th, 2010. The festival was dedicated to the National Day of Slovenia and the 105th Anniversary of the Slovenian Film Industry. The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a group of Slovenian and Ukrainian companies. The festival was initiated by Ms. Mayya Martynenko, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was the result of close cooperation between Honorary Consulate’s team and that of the Slovenian Embassy.
CFC Consulting conducted the festival’s advertising campaign, which included city streetlights, radio spots and numerous posters at the major Ukrainian Universities in Kiev, and ensured coverage of the festival in Kommersant newspaper.
Among the festival’s sponsors were Ukrainian company, TAS Group, Inter-Europa LLC (Slovenia), Poker-Sens (Slovenia) and Romankivska Usadba (Ukraine).
In the opening remarks, Mr. Boris Gole, Counselor from the Slovenian Embassy, stressed the importance of cultural events in bilateral relations and expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the project.
