CFC Big Ideas helped organinze and provide media coverage for the round table that took place on June 17th, 2021. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin and planned changes in the reimbursement system of insulin in Ukraine.
During the event, participants discussed key developments of the last century in terms of insulin discovery, current scientific advances in the treatment of diabetes, the role of close cooperation between the government, patient organizations, and manufacturers in improving patient care, and what patients should expect from the new system of insulin reimbursement in the near future, as well as proposals for its improvement.
Representatives of the patient community, authorities of Ukraine and Denmark, non-profit social organizations, endocrinologists, economic experts in the field of health care, and pharmaceutical industry representatives participated in the discussion.
