The press conference was held on the 27th of January at Sorry, Babushka nightclub. It was the first media event in the Energy Efficiency Season in Ukraine’ campaign, conducted by USAID ‘Municipal Heating Reform in Ukraine’, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and a group of Ukrainian celebrities. The press conference was attended by Sarah Wines, Acting Mission Director of the U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Olha Romanuk, Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services. The celebrity guest was Alyosha,, who represented Ukraine at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, and is well known for her active social position. The Energy Efficiency Season in Ukraine’ campaign is aimed at raising the young generation’s appreciation for energy use, and helping people realize their personal right to warmth and comfort within their homes, all while drawing attention to the problem of Ukraine’s dependence on energy. In addition to presenting the goal and objectives of the campaign, the speakers shared interesting facts and tips on how to keep warm in a simple and inexpensive way.
